Also known as 'Dermaplaning', Dermablading is a manual form of exfoliation, using a small blade to scrape away dead skin cells from the epidermis, to reveal the fresh, brighter skin beneath. Dermablading is also useful to remove unwanted hair on the face. An example of this is 'peach fuzz', the vellus hair around the neck and chin area.

Skin tags are small growths of skin that can be found on both men and women on all areas of the body, most commonly found in places such as the neck, underarms and eyelids. Diathermy is a safe and effective cosmetic treatment. Diathermy is a bloodless procedure used primarily for cosmetic treatment of the face, neck, shoulder, chest and back.
Diathermy involves the use of a high energy current to produce intense heat which destroys the lesion. The area to be treated is sometimes numbed with a local anaesthetic and then a fine hair-thin needle is introduced in the lesion to pass the current. The heat produced destroys the tissue of the lesion and the lesion disappears instantaneously. After the treatment mild swelling and redness may result and this will resolve in a few hours. The superficial sore is left open and allowed to heal on its own and form a scab.
Skin tags are harmless, but to some people may be unsightly. They can be quickly yet effectively removed with Diathermy. This method cauterizes and coagulates skin tags through thermolysis, using a fine probe to cauterize benign skin lesions. A fine crusting is then developed over the next few days after treatment which will heal within a week or so. Permanent removal is generally achieved, however it is not a preventative treatment for the development of new skin tags.
